A male humanoid creature
with bright green fur,
scrawny limbs,
a round midsection,
and a foul grimace!

 Mr. Grinch
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch!
You're a bad banana with a...greasy black peel!

We're all familiar with the Grinch, right?
But who knew in Whoville that
The Grinch also tried to steal Halloween too!

Yes, it's true!!
The Grinch tried to steal Halloween too!

Halloween Is Grinch Night!

The animated version was  aired on
ABC as a television special on Halloween.

Dr. Seuss and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises
co-produced this amazing cartoon.
It won the 1977 Emmy Award
for Outstanding Animated Program.

So, the question is...
what's this Grinch Night  Halloween show about?

It starts out like this...
It's a delightful autumn sunset,
when suddenly the sleepy peace of Whoville
is disturbed by the howling soursweet wind,
signaling the beginning of Grinch Night.

Soon the evil Grinch,with detachable,
flying eyebrows, glowing yellow eyes,
and a penchant for nasty mischief,
sets forth with his
dreaded paraphernalia wagon
 to terroize the villagers all
of whom are paralyzed with fear.

But one brave little boy, young Eukariah,
sets out to single handedly save his family and town.

Digging deep down inside himself to find
courage he didn't know he had,
the boy proves to be more than a
match for the now not-so-gruesome Grinch,
and his spooks, spirits and spectres.

 Along the way, Eukariah learns
quite a bit about facing unpleasant facts,
confronting your fears,
and taking positive action
 when faced with a threat.

These important lessons are served up
 with rainbow animation,
lively music,
 and insightful lyrics,
all compliments of the kids' favorite doctor
 -- Dr. Seuss!

 Sounds pretty cool, huh?
I think I'll have to check it out to see if I...
I mean,  my kids would like it to watch it!
Hey, wait a minute!
I'm not too old to watch cartoons!!
Well, maybe the really, really spooky ones!!
